The biggest fuckin derby in the world has finished yesterday, 3:1 for Red Star against Partizan. It was really great to watch, fierce fighting for every ball all 90min.
You are not a football fan till you experience this, after the game, when all that adrenaline calms down you feel like you ran a marathon.
Well here are some parts of things goin on stands yesterday :dealwithit:

Belgium for 2016 European Champion! :dealwithit:

I'm almost glad we didn't qualify, fucking Danny Blind and his potato coaching.

It was just as bad when Hiddink was still doing it...

We left our mojo on the Copa Cobana and it will probably take a few years to find it D:

At least before Hiddink resigned we where still in a decent position to qualify. Not saying Hiddink did a good job, he was bad too, but he has better tactical understanding. Blind literally has no idea what he is doing and completely destroyed the 3 important games he had to lead. Same goes for those two sandbags v Nistelrooij and v Basten. There was absolutely no realistic gameplan or strategy. Oh crap, we are 1-0 down, lets sub a defender and bring a striker. Oh damn, we are 2-0 down, lets sub another defender and bring a striker. Static strikers like Dost and Huntelaar need to get fed from the wings, but Depay is out of form and too egocentric. El Ghazi lacks the quality to get a good cross in completely.

Louis van Gaal set up his tactics based on the players qualities. Blind (and Hiddink) dropped all that, and went back to the "Dutch School 4-3-3" crap which is completely dependent on the wingers. You can get away with that when Robben is fit, but Depay and El Ghazi are just too shit to carry a national team. Sure, we have a poor generation of players right now, but we still have more individual quality than Iceland, Czech and Turkey. If they won't sack Blind (and van Oostveen), we won't qualify for the next WC either.

Also. What about the goalie? Cillessen and Zoet are pancakes. Would rather have Michel Vorm.
Secondly, if you play 2 games for Ajax you are international. What about Paul Verhaegh? He plays for Augsburg. He is 10x better as Tete. I also dont see why you wouldnt take Dirk kuyt with you. He is the mentality to beat this shit and teach youngsters on the trainings.
There is so much quality to find. But he just looks to 020 and thats it.

Did you watch the games? Tete was pretty much the only player in our last two matches who played reasonably well, maybe Sneijder too. Verhaegh, vd Wiel and Janmaat are garbage, and old. We have to look forward, and Tete or Karsdorp are the only 2 talented right backs we have.

There really isn't much quality left in this generation tbh. Robben is the only world class player we have left, and hes injured all the time. Strootman was potentially world class, but he will never get back to his old form after this injury. Vorm doesn't even play at Tottenham. I'd maybe prefer Stekelenburg over Cillessen but keepers aren't the issue i think. Sure, Zoet failed at all three goals against Czech but he normally never plays. Kuyt offers nothing but workrate and is 36 ffs, he just walks in line and has no personality at all. Nigel the Jong would have been better for that role, but hes also old and declining. I don't think Blinds selecting is the problem, there aren't many good players to pick from. Sure he picks a lot of Ajax players but Ajax is the only team that fields a lot of dutch talent in defence. The only useful defensive talents from Feyenoord and Psv (Karsdorp and Willems) were injured so unavailable. Only complete fail was calling up Jeffrey Bruma, he's a disgrace.

The problem with Blind is that he is a tactical tomato.

Usually I would be smirking to see Holland botch its qualification but this time I feel sorry for you. That was just ... too much. Also, it's just not the same without Holland.

My money is on France as next European champion. Spain is too old, England played a good qualification but they will fail as usual, Italy always has a chance but currently lacks talent and Germany is over-confident/lazy, the tactics are inflexible and it lacks decent wing defenders. France on the other hand has the best generation of young players in a long time.

Well, the qualification of Germany is far from flawless. Also I really dont like the coach. But Germany is a nation which gets much stronger as soon as they are IN the tournament.
So yeah, my bets are still on Germany :)

Belgium have a ridiculously good generation too. Problem with that team is that they have a tomato as coach aswel.
