Don't know where else to post this: As some have heard from me or through the ideal-gossip, girlfriend and me are planning to get a dog. Took a few weeks if consideration, but it is settled now if we are not too late, we will get a golden retriever puppy in july. We are already making appointments to meet breeders the next week to get to know them and their dogs.
Now I am calling for the help of the autism-council to pitch me names for the little pupper We will get a female and the current #1 is "Mila". Any help is appreciated, just know that I have to run it past my girlfriend (Mokka was already declined, but more because it suggests a darker dog than a golden)

Consider the following, the litter of your breeder will have a dedicated first letter. The first litter of said breeder will be the A litter for example. So all pups will have names beginning with an A. It's obviously not mandatory you call your pup this name in everyday life but we went with it and I kinda like the idea and concept behind it. So Aramis was out of the first litter and Dascha out of the forth of her breeder. Don't know if you are going for a pure breed with papers and all this shenanigans though. So your mileage may vary

Two sillable names are preferred for training matters as far as I remember. So Mila would be fine concerning that.

Yes, will get the dog from a proper breeder. I find it harder to name a female dog Tbh, since we could get on the same page for a bunch of male dog names.
Problem is, our 2 favorite breeders after doing our research both are planning/doing their Q-litter... The options are limited
