Juicy news.

So the next big patch will be the 0.3.1 of course. There we can expect:
- USN BBs and we already know a lot about them.
- IJN CVs will come in the same patch and their tree was announced. Picture with the current ones at the end.

So what's so special about the IJN CVs? For now we know they will have less hit points, much less AA power, BUT they will have more active squadrons then the USN CVs. So they will have more power in the air to act with, but much less in reserve as we all know the USN CVs have much bigger capacity. It will be easier to left them without planes after 2 bad attacks.

Some other info released today:
- Yamato will be buffed in 0.3.1
- Midway will come as USN CV tier X after all, but not in 0.3.1, later.
- IJN CA will be reworked a bit, but they won't get their long range torps back. They want their main weapon to be the artillery with the torps as a "powerful, but skill-demanding auxiliary weapon". They want them to be used with "hit and run" tactics.
- Scout planes will get increased patrolling range + they have some "interesting ideas to improve their value"
- either Bismark or Tirpitz will be premium
- no wipe planned after CBT>OBT and we will have no compensations for what we unlock during the CBT.
- they will NOT give piasters and premium ships for test during the CBT. The players who won them in contests (on the RU ofc) or bought them will do the testing...
- the tier IX IJN BB will be A-140-J2, but we knew that already

This is puzzling: There is no wipe planned during the transition from closed to open beta. But I don't understand the sentence with the compensations. Sounds weird to me...

there will be a wipe after the closed beta, but not after the open beta...
And unlike after the alpha wipe, where we got a lot of free xp, you wont get any compensation for your CBT-progress

I hope not :P

Besides it's a boring ship.

Recently there were a number of reports about the survivability of the primary armament on some types of ships being too low. At first we assumed this was probably just a case of several separate game testers suffering a string of bad luck. But later, when the number of complaints increased, we decided to take a closer look at this component of the game. Eventually – thanks to your help, dear testers – we detected the problem. Here’s what happened:

Trying to make Version 0.3.0.3 more rich and consistent, we included some improvements intended for Version 0.3.1 by mistake. The problem was that, at the time of Version 0.3.0.3, those improvements were not completely configured. Specifically, while we did include turret barbettes (what is that? The Wiki is our friend!) as a part of the primary gun turret hitbox, their armor was set to zero. Those changes affected the following ships:

Cleveland
Pensacola
Atlanta
New Orleans
Baltimore
Des Moines
Aoba
Myoko
Mogami
Ibuki
Senjo
Kawachi
Myogi
Kongo
Fuso
Nagato
Amagi
Yamato

Now that we definitely know what the problem is, we will get it fixed as soon as we can. In fact, the first steps will be taken tomorrow! The barbette armor will be set to the proper thickness for all listed ships. Following this update, your guns should be destroyed less often or at least less fast – and we will be able to collect some interesting statistics. At the same time, we are getting closer to the version 0.3.1 and the complex armor changes it contains, that will be described soon in the Developer Bulletin.

I wasn't. Shadowplay let me recover the last x minutes. It's like, it's always recording.
Super cool to use it because this way i never miss something.

Ye, my testing period for it finishes with the faggato, which i will hopefully get rid of really soon now. Overall, it gives some advantages but it's not as game breaking as people thinks.

This guy made a nice analysis i think

Meh, i'm tired of discussing the mod. It does give you an advantage over players who don't use it and that's the main point of the argument. Basta.

Because i wanted to see if it was as game breaking as people said it was, and why WG isn't hammering it down yet.

Either way i stand by my impression, it gives an advantage to those that do not know already how to aim and on maximum distance for everyone. For any other situation nothing changes. The crossair is set on the mid ship of any target, which is where you aim for anyway to damage the boilers room.

since the game is basicly nothing but mastering how to take lead to hit a ship, I don't see why one would use this mod, becasuse let's be honest here, the game is quite boring, even more if you don't have to think about where to aim.
