You cant control the scout (fighter) planes. It idles around your ship and spots DDs & torps in spotting range and it attacks other planes and reks their aiming spread.

And you can ping on the minimap by double clicking when you are alive

Like on WoT, CTRL makes the cursor appear, then you move it on the map and double click there.

Cruisers have fighters. You launch them and they do what glados said.
BBs usually have recon planes, once launched they increase your range by a certain %, they usually fly further too but you still can't control them

http://forum.worldofwarships.com/index. ... er-thread/
1) Cruisers won't be nerfed.
2) Carriers are being looked at for balance.
3) Nagato and Cleveland have tiniest citadel hit boxes.
4) Yubari is likely to be buffed, right now it's AA is sort of broken.
5) Fuso AA being examined for buffing.
6) Arkansas not being changed - learn to play it or sell it. It was a gift.
7) MM is considered working as intended. It just needs a lot of players, spread throughout the tiers to work. So it's staying for now.
8) New Game Modes coming.
9) Night Fights not coming, at least for awhile.
10) Fire is working as intended, and will not be looked at.
11) WG considers 50% accuracy to be 'exceptional'.
12) Border situation isn't ideal, and is being looked at.
13) Omaha is considered lousy, and may be buffed.
14) Battleships are being looked at, fires won't be touched. Play cruisers for now if you think they are better.
15) Furutaka is bad, nothing they've done to it seems to fix it yet...
16) Ramming mechanics are ok, but they are evaluating them constantly.
17) Des Moines may get a gun upgrade option.
18) No plans to make the game better looking - for now - more work on optimization for potatoes.
19) Kitakami is coming back - very soon.
20) No plan for 'rigged' MM to drop new vehicles at the top more often.. At least not in the short term.
21) "Rising Sun" flag won't be in game to not offend some SEA countries.
22) They are aware of hideous railing and wire jaggies. But haven't figured out how to fix it, or devote time to it.
23) HD Client a waste of time right now, as they are more interesting in potatoes having smooth ride.
24) Mikasa Premium coming with limited MM.
25) Pallada Class RU Cruiser will be premium.
26) They'd like to add the inability to sink due to shallows. (grounding)

Re: World of Warships

I kinda like warships. Already got myself a t5 US cruiser, looking forward to the Cleveland.

Some observations:
Battleships: kinda boring, slow and you're set on fire a lot of times.
Cruisers: fun, manouverable, nice guns, can shoot some planes out of the air.
Destroyers: not sure, kinda feels like scouting in WoT, you spot stuff and your team doesn't shoot at it. Guns are not spectacular and torpedoes, well, I don't really know how to use them effectively.
Aircraft carriers: don't have one (yet)

Torpedoes: haven't mastered the art of torpedoing yet, perhaps grinding a Minekaze could help.

BTW: is there any reason to go to the higher tiers? Does gameplay change much? Or is it just like WoT: more of the same, but you are top tier more often.

On high tiers you'll find people using AP way more often than HE, except for some specific ships like the mogami with small guns.

As for torpedoes, it's just a matter of trying really. After a while you get the hang of it. Destroyers are not really there to spot, torpedoes are your main weapon. Spotting things is secondary

In RU you can already buy the flags (e.g. +50% XP flag) in the prem shop... I'm not sure yet what to think about it.

edit: there are already ratings:

Shadowplay is an amazing feature of nvida cards. I can always recover the last 10 minutes (even more actually) of gameplay or just record when i want, or even stream.

New patch changelog, zhe Germaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaans D: D: (probably only for super testers :D)

Captains,

The development team is constantly at work, updating and fixing the game based on your stellar feedback. This is the full list of changes in the upcoming client update.

Main changes:

German ships (Tirpitz, Bismarck, Dresden, Hermelin) have been added into the game client for testing purposes. You may see them in the battle, but they are not available for research or purchase.
Maps:

On the “Two Brothers” map, removed invisible barrier in the square E5.
Interface:

Fixed improper distribution of consumables on keys “R”, “T”, “Y” in the game.
Added consumable “Hydroacoustic Search” on the following ships – Kuma, Furutaka, Phoenix, Omaha, Murmansk, Marblehead, Marblehead (Lima) – starting with the stock configuration.
Fixed lettering squares on the mini-map, in the loading-screen, not matching with the tactical and mini-map in battle.
Fixed the display of the British nation tab during the transition to the tech-tree when Warspite is chosen. Now the player gets to the first tab on the list which is the Japanese nation tab.
Other:

Fixed an error which in some cases led to the game client crashing when entering the queue for the battle.
Fixed an error where while in the countdown screen before the battle, the ship models were cut off at the approach.
Fixed an error which led to the inability to recruit a commander for the ship when one of the ships was in battle.
Fixed a graphical artifact that led to the camera going underwater when in binocular mode on the Tachibana and Tachibana Lima.
