watched 1917 last night, I thought it was really amazing. almost completely seemless. I struggled to see how or where they cut scenes together. really well done.
solid 8.5/10

i watched portrait of a lady on fire today and it was solid. I can see how many people wouldnt enjoy it. Its basically a "portrait" (yeah, it really kinda fits the description best) of something like 2 weeks that two chicks spend together and develop some stronk feelings. Not much really happens, no grand ideas explored, just a beautifully shot portrait of some feels.

Hard to rate. Its one of those movies that one wont really remember within a year, but which was really neat to watch once. So maybe something like 8/10?

OMFG in the middle of starwars 9 and ccopypasta this from mchat:

this is the worst film ive ever watched. Even 7 and 8 were not as non-story (fuck took me 4 attempts to spell that (and 7 for that)). what have DIsney and Whomthefuckever done do this franchise. the amount of dumbfuck kiddo creatures just exemplies the dumbfuckery in play here

do not watch this POS it is awful. the storyline doesn't exist anyway and they've made a new one for this film anyway...which is shit. just ignore this bollocks 12yo disney flick.

edit: time stamp 1.22. ish i turned it off, yes im drunk but wow

I agree Ape, the new one are such a shame to the series.
Even the prequels are 10x better, and I kinda enjoyed the prequels.
At least they tried.

I think I will still watch it so see the shit show, but I agree, the best SW since Disney bought it was Rogue One and that was a war movie with a SW filter on it. :sealdier:

imo the previous SW was worse than this newest SW, but both were shit. The only nice thing about the latest one was that it had occasionally some good VFX shots so it was at least at times nice to look at.

I had trouble keeping up with the story. I didnt understand what was going on. I will go back and watch it the 2nd and 3rd time as I always do with these mega blockbuster type movies.

Finished The Letter for the King, pretty nice series overall, 7/10 just fun to watch.

Now I started quarantchilling Feel Good, the few first episodes are actually surprisingly good DansGame

EDIT: finished Feel Good, it is actually a really fun series, sad that it is only 1 season. They could put a PH logo on the screen sometimes tho

Better Call Saul‘s season 5 has been going on for a while now. Still incredibly nifty but I feel it’s lost something.

We started the crown on Netflix. It is pretty good with an amazing cast and high production value. Also pretty interesting.

Did someone get disney+ as well and can suggest some movies/shows apart from mainstream?
