What is exciting in Pokemon GO (when you live in a rural area)? No Pokestops, no arenas and no pokemons. Here I can build the stuff myself, which makes it a lot more exciting. Especially when I walk my dog. Also its not overhyped and the performance is thus much better.

Then there are clans which adds an additional layer of community, where in Pokemon GO you only have 3 teams.

Also Pokemon GO doesn't work with custom roms, so basically I can't play that
