So, I've just returned from one week at my mom's and took a bunch of photos of my two friends before I left. They actually made this Christmas bearable. :xwub:

Here's my small old dog, I think she's about 7 now.

Here's her big new friend, a 6 months old Ridgeback.

And here you can(not) see him do a happy jump.

"In the earlier parts of its history, the Rhodesian Ridgeback has also been known as Van Rooyen's Lion Dog, the African Lion Hound or African Lion Dog—Simba Inja in Ndebele, Shumba Imbwa in Shona—because of its ability to keep a lion at bay while awaiting its master to make the kill."

Ironically, in the first picture, there is no door anymore (entrance to the living room right behind the dog).

so you see the dog can't kill the cat, it needs its human master for that, with a cowardly gun. The cat however will kill it, eat it for breakfast and then hunt another one because she's still hungry. :smug:

SPAM ALERT!

Nice topic tbh.

2012 my gf and me got our first cat from an animal shelter. She was approximately 4 years old.

When my gf and me had an internship for 6 months, we got the impression that Rosalie felt alone. So we made a decision together to get a 2nd cat.
We got a British-shorthair-cat, named Blueberry (because of her color "blue"). When we got her, she was 13 weeks old.

Well, even if we felt happy, Blueberry seemed to be bored because Rosalie didnt want to play with her. So Blueberry was bleating around and we made another crazy decision to get a 3rd cat.
This time we got another British cat, called Highlander or British-Longhair. The funny thing is: Neither the parent cats nor grandparent cats had long hairs but funnily enough he was born with long hairs. His name is Kasimir and he is the half-brother of Blueberry. He was also 13 weeks when we got him.

ALL together:

We swear that this is enough from number of cats. The british brigade is playing well together during Rosalie is watching the funny scenes from scratching post. All are castrated, so we dont expect any miracles. ;)
