Bought this gaym last night, played 3 games so far, found it very fun. Recommend checking it out if youre looking for a new game, however it is optimised like a fucking potato. I have a 6700k and 1070, cant average 60FPS at all times even at low / very low, so keep that in mind.

I played hundreds of hours of dayz. Due to my terrible experience with that I skipped all the clone games up until now. Dayz was waaaaaaaaaaaaay worse than PUBG in literally every single god damn fucking way. It still is. It tried to fit into a slightly different niche where a session took days or weeks at a time and you always played on the same server and it was more about surviving against zeds, hunger, thirst, and not primarily players. You spent 99% of your time running around if you needed loot or sitting in a bush if you had a sniper rifle.

PUBG fits into the niche that most dayz players wanted dayz to be like (with a higher focus on PVP). The first 2h I played PUBG I legit felt like I was playing Dayz. Looks and feels very similar actually, at least compared to dayz in my memory. It has way fewer bugs, the circles encourage you not to camp forever, and there are no buggy and laggy zeds. The handling of your character and the game is also much better. If I managed to play hundreds of hours of dayz then this game is a complete nobrainer to me.
