Recently switched from my JVC X-5000 projector to an LG OLED65C7V and let me tell you they image quality is so good I'm keeping the LG, screen is the smallest im comfortable with. Viewing distance is about 2.4m so the 4K resolution is still quite noticeable but the biggest change are the black levels, stunning
. Been watching all kinds of movies with lots of dark scenes, Life, Passengers, Prometheus and so on and it looks so good I'm drooling all over the place then I popped a 4K Pacific Rim bluray in with HDR and it was a jizzfest, superblack with bright high contrast effects. Even Jurassic Park with the T-Rex scene was a whole new experience for me. It's like you are watching on the set directly.
Then the contrast levels are extremely good combined with good HDR performance makes it the icing on the cake. When the 75" and larger are affordable I would definitely upgrade straight away. The only downsides are the 100"-> 65" but you cant have it all and why didn't I buy this orgasm TV sooner? The price might be steep but its worth every penny. And the TV is like a work of art with only 1cm bezels and thin glass surface. Ofcourse thats also the downside when watching dark movies, only light will be easily visible.
Also I can confirm the TV OS called WebOS is super slick, Netflix, Plex, Twitch and JewTube work flawlessly.
Another downside is that if you play a bad source (720p or low bitrate 1080p) you can see the shitty quality right of the bat so its best to stick to decent 1080p and 4K sources. I don't watch cable TV at all btw so i wouldn't recommend if you watch sports and cable only.
Time to plan popcorn night with my brothers and re-watch The Terminator and other golden oldies.
