It's the third week of June and we have already reached 30°C a month ago, so it was time to finally get rid of my winter tyres. It took so long because I wanted to restore a ~25 YO set of rims and I am a god tier procrastinator.

Before doing anything other than cleaning them as well as possible

After painting (you cannot tell in the photos, but 2 of them look really fucking terrible if you look closely because I had some difficulty with the paint, the other 2 are good...)

Wheels finally mounted on my car after several months (they look really dank, 34mm wider track than my old rims due to lower offset, and the summer tyres are also 20mm wider than the winter tyres)

I'm exactly on the line and there was just empty space right of my car. Why the hell would I want to park any further to the left and risk a dent lol

Porsche made a new Porsche 935 based on the legendary Porsche 935/78 and they stayed really true to the original with their design. Here's an interesting article on the original 935/78 and photos of the old and the new car. It's just so good <3

Not really big updates, I am working on very boring stuff most of the time thats not really worth showing. I made a shifter linkage (which took forever), had a clutch and servo line made, made a bracket for the washer reservoir... Still a lot needs to be done, enginebay needs to be painted, exhaust needs to be made made, rear end upgraded, driveshaft has to be shortened and then I gotta hope my wiring actually makes the car start :sealmato:

I am using the 6 speed GS6-53BZ box from an E90 335i with a PMC adapter kit, its pretty much the biggest gearbox from bmw, so there is very little room in the tunnel... I have only found one dude who broke one at 1100Nm, so a lot of room for upgrades in the future >:D Most people use the stock 328i box which is a lot smaller. The original 2JZ transmissions are super expensive, 2k+ for an R154 5 speed or 6k+ for a V160 6 speed D: There is an entire facebook group dedicated for this swap(1JZ and 2JZ Powered BMWs) which is super helpful
