I don't question that Real and Barca had more success, but they spent shittons money AND had a plan. Barca more plan, Real more CR7.

Look at those English shitlords (I am not including Liverpool here, because they are the new kid on the block with a top notch coach [GERMAN DURR] and will have planned consistent success in the very near future), they have all the money in the world, buy overpriced players and then think they'll win by just that. How long did it take ManCity to get a proper coach? Like 8 years with billions before they got hold of someone with more than air between his ears, wtf?! What did ManU do after Fergi left? Hurr durr, gonna fuck a whole legacy up in 1 year. Not even talking about Chelsea still playing football out of the middle ages.
I know this is simplified A LOT, but football especially in England changed from dads taking their sons to matches a footwalk away from their homes on sunday afternoons to this absurd world with hundreds of thousands of brexit coins being made by immature fucktards on a weekly basis payed by arabic oil fucks that need a description on how to tell the difference between a ball and a cube. SAD.

Sad especially, if you consider, that leagues like Bundesliga, Ligue1, portufag league etc loose great talents on a yearly basis to way less professionally managed clubs.

I guess Dutch league is the biggest loser. Ajax is always bringing up great players and then they get bought by clubs with more money(than brains). I fear it's going to happen to this Ajax team as well

I mean it's the way it goes, but even I, coming from the only German club than can keep hold of their players for the most part, am just fed up with stupid tv money deals inflating player prices into unbelievable dimensions.

Second in line CB of the young ones is probably Ginter. Also Tah probably before anyone thinks about Rüdiger. So it is not too bad, but apart from süle they are all still not as good as Hummels. A lot of world class CBs are past 30, what they might lose in fitness(but come on, they are 30, not 60) they gain in experience. So the whole thing is bullshit for me. The age shouldn't matter and the national teams should not try to develop the youth. That's the job of their clubs. The national squad should consist of the best team you can put in the race. And for me at least Hummels would still belong to that.

I disliked Löw even back then when he was the bitch of klinsmann. It is pretty clear in my book that Germany was successful despite him being coach, not thanks to him. That begins with questionable decisions in his squad to not having a game plan against Mexico, Sweden and Korea and ends with the more than poor handling of the whole erdogan-shit. The fact that he didn't get booted for the worldcup made me fear the future cups(or at least as long as he is in charge)
Germany got loads of potential. But not with him in the drivers seat. My2cents :)

Some of the reason for spending so much money is that the Premier League for instance is a much more competitive league than Ligue 1, Bundesliga etc. You have 5 or 6 teams that realistically could win the league every season, and also just 4 champions league spots to fight for. Take into account that it is the most popular football league, there is alot of money coming from broadcasting rights etc etc. There is a huge economical difference between ending 4th or ending 5th aswell, so to have a better shot at qualifying, the clubs spend too much. In the other leagues mentioned, there is one or tops two teams dominating the league every single season.

That's not the point, championship (2nd English) teams being able to spend more money than 60% of Bundesliga teams is just fucking moronic and we are talking Bundesliga here which is behind LaLiga and PL the 3rd best maybe rivaled by SerieA. I know it's not the mistake of the teams or anything, but coming from that background English teams should dominate European competition, which they aren't. And as long as it stays like this I will make fun of their inability.

Bundesliga has the best visitor numbers for years now. The 2 league is by far the most visited in Europe. German leagues have rules to prevent Arab/Russian cunts coming in and flooding our teams with their money. Even though football became way more commercial over here as well, we didn't go full sellout yet though and I am glad. Yes football is a business these days, but then run it like one making earnings instead of being a toy for some fucking billionaire who has nothing else to do with his oil fuck blood diamond tech whore gains.

Speaking of playtoys of oil-assholes: the fact that PSG dropped out of CL again warms my soul >:D Easily my most hated club in Europe. Be prepared for some more bullshit transfers even though they shouldn't be able to afford a cracker due to FFP. But hey, as long as you bribe/threaten the people making the FFP-decisions ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Re: Football autism

Postby TheDrownedApe » 07 Mar 2019 13:45

i am a Blackburn rovers fan. I've seen the good and bad of English football and now don't watch any football games. I lament the direction the English leagues have taken and see the future far bleaker than it is now.

They have too much money to bother with the youth system and just buy the talent they think they should. Then after a failed spell they get rid of the £10 mil they spent on the player without batting an eyelid.

Only the English leagues can afford to do this and it's detrimential to our league and national team. I hope Blackburn never make it to the PL again as they spend big on the promise of the golden TV rights then get relegated and can't afford to pay the wage bill (even with parachute payments) and end up in masses of debt.

I do prefer the German approach to ownership but then, as others have mentioned, it doesn't provide much hope for european cups and national league challengers.

Spain literally has 2 teams and every season a an other gives them a good battle but then fade away the next year. Italy is too slow. France is again 2/3 teams.

HOWEVER the biggest problem is the fucking cheating, play acting, diving, confronting the ref, and general immature behaviour of the players. Now you even have the commentators getting involved; where they used to admonish the players for their acts, they now don't even bother pass judgement. But you can only really blame the law makers. They (the refs and post game officals) don't punish enough.

I have been in favour of a sin-bin system for a long time and think it might help to clean up the game.

Well, you can say that spain has in fact 3 teams in europes elite. Atletico is on the rise for years. And saying that german teams are no competition in cups.. I don't know. Bayern is a force for more than a decade and especially in the last 4 years when they got far into the tournament, more often than not (for example vs Real last year) being the better team. They met Liverpool, arguably the strongest team in the world right now toe to toe and have a good to fair chance to win next week. And I am hopeful that after the big change in squad Hoeneß promised they will continue being one of the biggest teams.
Dortmund is not quite there yet, but being in the final vs Bayern s few years back was a big statement. Plus their work with talents and scouting is amazing.
Leipzig and Frankfurt are on the rise as well with attractive attacking-football and young and hungry teams. And all that without the big oil-money. (yes, Leipzig belongs to the RedBull-clan, but that is a different issue and I don't see them pumping nearly as much money in the team as dozens of others in England/france/spain)
So it indeed does work without selling your soul. Or at least with keeping a good portion of your soul

Liverpool is good, but arguably the best team in the world right now? I don't know. I'd have ManCity and Barca in front of them. Even though I hate both of them with a passion.

You mentioned Bayern as your only strong argument for German teams in Europe. This is my point, there are no others who have been more than a one season shining light and without slagging off Bayern, they have been poor by their standards in recent years (i think).

I wish Germany had more success in Europe as their model of club ownership should be congratulated more (clearly not at the expense on the English, patronism and all that) but they don't and you have to ask why.

Agreed this is so stupid and annoys me as well. In my oppinion the referees should just stop the time when the ball is not in play. Sure overtime would be >10 minutes/half, but at least all this playing on time would stop.

By their standards? Semifinal like 4 times in a row. Clearly in Europe's top 5 for the last decade. Apart from Barca and Real there is no other team to rival their consistency.

Yeah i did say "i think"; I hadn't heard much from them in the past few years so assumed underpar (again "by their standards"), but i stand corrected.

It is A problem. But it's not THE problem imho. Effective playtime is pretty consistent over the last years iirc. The game got faster. The game takes breaks. Players are no superhumans.

A consistent rule for hand-balling would help A LOT as the first step into the right direction. Keepers being overly protected close to their goals as well.
