I was really into Sabaton, Hammerfall, Dragonforce, Ensiferum, Sonata Arcitca, Edguy, Gamma Ray and so on a few years back
Not so much anymore but it's still nice from time to time. Guess my taste turned darker and more classical when I grew up

Same here... In some cases there is simply too much bombast and the production of the music is way too clean. I really like the sound which sounds a bit raw, dirty and is not overly polished to the very last detail. Although I like the usage of keyboards and especially other electronic elements, some arrangements where a whole orchestra is coming out of the box is simply just overload for me. Mostly these songs are not even very complex but it's just overload. You might crucify me for that, but I never could get any connection to bands such as Sabaton...
